Johannesburg, 07 November 2023 - Telkom, a leading technology company in South Africa, is proud to announce the launch of the Telkom Transformation and Innovation Awards, set to take place on the 14th of November 2023. This groundbreaking event marks the beginning of an annual celebration, recognising Telkom's pivotal role in supporting technology-driven start-ups within the South African ecosystem.
The Telkom Transformation and Innovation Awards will serve as a platform to showcase the exceptional achievements of Telkom's Enterprise and Supplier Development Programmes, spotlighting the profound impact of these initiatives on the local business ecosystem. Through these awards, Telkom seeks to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of its internal Transformation ambassadors, who champion the Transformation & Innovation agenda across various business units, driving positive change within Telkom.
Dr Mmaki Jantjies, Group Executive for the Innovation and Transformation Office at Telkom, expressed her enthusiasm for the awards, stating, "One cannot emphasise enough, the importance of platforms such as these awards that celebrate our nation's innovators and the remarkable achievements of innovation contributors towards crafting and building a future-proof and future-ready tech-enabled South Africa."
