The consumer remains at the heart of everything that Telkom does as it continues its drive to seamlessly connecting South African’s to a better life by introducing improved LTE offerings to its consumers.
As consumers navigate the ever-changing digital world – and the Fourth Industrial Revolution – their needs and expectations change accordingly. Telkom has always pride itself on listening to consumers and keeping them in mind when advancing products and services.
In keeping with this approach, Telkom has revisited all its LTE offers – both post and pre-paid – in the name of flexibility, value – and most importantly – customer needs. This is on the back of Telkom recently winning first prize in the Sunday Times Top Brands 2019 award in the Fibre to Home Providers category.
What does this mean for consumers?
The entire Postpaid suite has been reworked to not only include new entry level 10GB & 20GB bundles but SIM only and Top up offers are also available for customers that already have an LTE router whilst additionally providing 24-month contract options should an LTE router be required. Bundle sizes have been increased on existing offers and SIM only pricing at reduced cost are available across all plans.
Telkom has also improved its Prepaid LTE offering for customers that prefer the flexibility that Prepaid offers. New entry level 10GB & 20GB offers have been introduced and all other bundles have been enriched with additional data.
With the new SIM Only offers, the SmartBroadband Wireless Data offer will comprise of Post-paid and TopUp offers – see below table for SIM only pricing.

To address the needs of all South Africans and understanding that flexibility in payment for Broadband services is of utmost importance Telkom has improved its already best in market Prepaid LTE offers. All that is required to make use of these bundles is to purchase a Telkom Prepaid SIM, migrate to the Smartbroadband Prepaid tariff and purchase the once off Prepaid LTE bundles – see below table for details.
