In the first match-up of the Telkom DGL Masters series happening at rAge Expo 18-20 March 2016, Cape Town, Veneration E-Sports is the first casualty, thoroughly beaten by Bravado Gaming.
In the best of three rounds Veneration E-Sports lost 16-0 and 16-2 against the top seeded side.
In a statement after the match, team manager Alex van der Merwe says the team is relatively new but the appointment of a new coach, who has played internationally before, should help the team to gain more experience. “Hopefully by the next event the team would have had more time to develop and grow their skills. We take every loss as a learning session so this is just another step towards improving.”
