Telkom today announced that it will be automatically migrating Home and Business LTE and LTE-A plans (table below refers) to the recently introduced higher value SmartBroadband Wireless (LTE) and SmartBroadband Wireless LTE-A plans as of 1 October 2015.
The new plans will give customers added value in terms of double data allocation through the included Night Surfer Data and unlimited access to WiFi data at Telkom’s public WiFi hotspots.
Attila Vitai, managing director of Telkom Mobile and Consumer says: “Customers will be migrated to the higher value plans free of charge and there will be no change to their monthly recurring subscription fees after the migration. Our LTE and LTE-A customers will therefore have access to more data at the prices they currently pay.
“This is yet another indication of our continuous drive to create more value for our customers,” said Vitai.
SmartBroadband Wireless and SmartBroadband Wireless LTE-A plans have been introduced as fixed wireless broadband propositions for home and office use and therefore customers on these plans must link a secondary mobile device (mobile handset, laptop or tablet) via their My Telkom account to take advantage of the unlimited Wi-Fi at Telkom’s public WiFi hotspots. A 10GB Fair Usage Policy applies to the WiFi data included in the plan.
