8ta today reported that its latest 'Smart Contract Plans' have received great uptake owing to significant savings, of as much as 80%, on the subscription rates of these plans.
The Smart Contract Plans are an enhancement of the existing contract plans and also offer in-bundle benefits such as increased data and SMS bundle allocations at no additional cost. Data enhancements for Smart Plan per second contracts range from 200MB to 1500MB and SMSs go up to 100 per month.
8ta has also unveiled a 'Bring Your Own Device' option on the Smart Contract Plans - appealing to consumers wanting to enjoy reduced monthly subscription but who are not in the market for new devices.
Choosing the SIM-only option sees monthly Smart Contract per second subscriptions decrease up to 80% and Smart Contract per minute subscriptions up to 45%.
"8ta seeks to revitalise our offerings to meet the ever changing consumer requirements," said 8ta Senior Managing Executive Amith Maharaj.
"We are driven by our Live Unlimited Campaign and our offerings are being tailored to add more value than ever before so that consumers can break free of some of the cost limits that dictate their mobile voice and data usage," concluded Maharaj.
All existing contract subscribers will be upgraded on 9 December 2012 to the new Smart Contract benefits excluding the send 5 get 50 SMSes free to send for the day. This remains unchanged for all existing contract per minute subscribers. Users of other networks will be able to port into the new Smart Contract plans.
