The Southern Africa Telecommunication Networks and Applications Conference can again boast a top level agenda having attracted speakers including the likes of Obed Bapela, Deputy Minister of Communications.
Hosted by Telkom the three day conference will see captains of industry deliver a number of keynote presentations around the conference theme: Social Communications: challenging the limits of technology and innovation.
Speaking to the conference theme, Global Chief Technology Officer for Nokia Siemens Network, Mr Hossein Moiin will delve into the power of social communications and how this communication phenomenon has transformed the way people live, work and play.
Importantly, Mr Moiin will highlight the implications of social communications on telcos including growing data revenues and the ever growing demand for innovations in fixed and mobile networks.
Another highlight of the conference includes a panel debate on how social communications can be harnessed as a means to uplift the marginalised and vulnerable pockets of society. Participating in this panel discussion will be Telkom's Group CEO Ms Nombulelo Moholi; Chief Executive Officer of Vox Telecom, Mr Douglas Reed and Executive Chairman of Dimension Data, Mr Andile Ngcaba.
