8ta launches new products and services
After the successful launch of pre-paid mobile products and services last month, 8ta today launched its highly competitive contract and top-up offers.
The post-paid products are expected to attract a whole new wave of customers, following the rapid uptake of pre-paid products by customers who had been intrigued by the celebrated Heita campaign for weeks.
True to its promise to offer simple and affordable products and services, 8ta's contract and top-up offers are an irresistibly economical way to "Let people talk more".
8ta is unveiling five ultra-competitive contract offers, which range from R90 to R500 per month. Each package is accompanied by groundbreaking offers. For example, for the first time in South Africa contract customers will be able to make free and unlimited calls to a single landline number that he or she chooses. Additionally, the "50 free SMSs for every 5 SMSs sent" offer that has been very well received on pre-paid will also be made available on all contract packages. The 65c anytime flat rate to landlines is also being extended to contract packages.
Four saver (top-up) packages that span R50 to R250 are being bundled with disruptive offers such as the 50 free SMSs and the R1.50 flat rate and the popular 65c tariff to landlines.
All packages are wrapped around affordable and attractive handsets.
8ta has also launched three Internet packages that will provide an overall superior user experience in terms of pricing, real time usage information (customers can view in real time how many megabytes they have used) and network quality – all made possible by state for the art technology. A stand out feature of all 8ta's Internet products is a flat out of bundle rate of 30c.
Surfing the net is relatively new for many South Africans. With this in mind all 8ta's Internet packages offer peace of mind and simplicity which is driven by leading edge technology. For example, if a customer used the entire data bundle before month end, the customer will be presented with a choice, while browsing, to either:
As with all 8ta's products customer service is an integral part of our design. To this end, 8ta offers a dedicated Internet call centre (081183) to assist with Internet related queries. In addition, 8ta offers Internet customers a home installation or home support voucher which customers can use to get the modem installed at a later stage if they are encountering other Internet related problems with the 8ta product.
Amith Maharaj, 8ta's Managing Executive, said, "We will connect more people and enable them to talk more. We will provide more minutes for your money than any other network. These post-paid packages are further evidence that South African mobile phone users have a real choice at last."
8ta's commitment to bring simple and affordable mobile services to South African consumers is clearly demonstrated by today's launch of contract and hybrid products. 8ta continues to invest extensively in building a nationwide mobile network that is supported by state of the art customer care infrastructure.
With post-paid tariffs that are easy to understand and buy, and with no hidden costs, 8ta looks forward to serving South Africans with value products. Back to Top
